June is National Safety Month! Now more than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic, safety both inside and outside the workplace is pivotal. MedSavvy is committed to ensuring our users are safely using their medications! We’ve made upgrades to our notification alerts to make it easier for you and your employees to stay safe during these tough times.
These safety alerts are becoming increasingly important as we learn about contaminated medication or recalls in the medication supply chain.
When users log into MedSavvy and search medication options, they're going to notice several new icons that may pop up: safety, adherence, and savings alerts. These icons will help identify whether it’s an urgent alert, such as an FDA recall or a good savings opportunity.
Our team of pharmacists will alert users of:
Cost savings opportunities – If there’s an opportunity to save by switching to a lower cost, equally effective medication.
Safety alerts – If our independent research uncovers any findings about a medication you’re taking.
FDA recalls – When user medications have an FDA recall, we will let you know first
MedSavvy is a unique and innovative employee benefit that helps employers and employees save on medication costs, while improving health and therefore productivity. MedSavvy provides employees with online access to medication costs, quality, and side effects in side-by-side comparisons. Additionally, our team of pharmacists provide online consultations and grade medications using a rigorous evidence-based system. MedSavvy integrates with your existing pharmacy benefit plan as well, and the costs are customized to your health plan and location!
MedSavvy® grades how well drugs work.
